Scuba Diving

I am taking a scuba diving course here in Nha Trang!! It is so fun, but really intimidating. I just passed my written exam today. I did two dives today in the ocean, very cool. It's so awesome to swim with the fish and the plant life is amazing. It's great. I have wanted to do it forever, so glad I did. It's half the money it would cost in Canada, and this way I get to actually do my practice dives in the ocean instead of Lake Winnipeg. Anyways that has been taking up all my time. But other wise I would just be lying on the beach, did that last week. I will be taking an overnight train to Hoian Thursday night. Ok that is it for now just thought I would update quickly.

hey~~ You're better than I am. When I went scuba diving, I puked all over my instructor, and we both decided I was a better person on dry land. I had worked myself up for two days to concince myself to go, and when I finally did...
...He was nice about it, though. He said, "That's okay, Love! The fish will appreciate it!" as he washed himself off with the ocean water.

Hey Pam, There's not much to do in the Incheon airport, but there is a jinjilbahng, which would be the ultimate place to rest and relax--sauna, showers, etc. Very nice, if you decide not to leave the airport...

You would be about an hour from Seoul.

These are the bus numbers for various places. I think the best one is the City Hall(605).

In front of city hall there's a big palace, and really nice places to walk, also tourist info booths along that busy street. They can show you where Chong gye chong is...a nice attraction--it's a path along water through the city.

Gwanghwamun is another stop with that bus. It is another palace (You must be palaced out by now); but it's my favourite one. Although, I think you have to go in there with a tour that only runs at certain times throughout the day. From Gwangwhamun (or anywhere around there, including City Hall), you can easily take a taxi to "INSADONG" which is the Osborne village of Seoul...and the best place to see the essence of Korea in a short period of time. Lots of English speakers there, and a tourist info booth, too.

Just take the taxi back to City Hall ("See-Chon" in Korean, but try "Koreana hotel" which is a good landmark--I think the bus stop is right in front of that hotel.) Once around City Hall, I know you can easily see the airport bus stop which is clearly labeled, and there are millions of people who can help you find it, just in case.

Another stop on that bus route is "Namdaemun" which is a pretty crazy outdoor/indoor market. You can also take a cab there.

I guess I'm leaning towards telling you to get to City Hall, and then find stuff from there. Namdaemun and Insadong are pretty close, and the taxi should be cheap to get there. I'd have about $30 for transportation (get your Won at the airport)...the bus is about $18 there and back to the airport. You wouldn't need more than $15 for food.

Okay--- happy travels!!

okay, maybe a bit more money, just in case ;)

I'm a worry wart now.

And the bus info is easy to find as soon as you exit arrivals.

You're from Canada, so you don't need a visiting visa. They'll let you in on entry.
